WCCD provides structural wildfire hardening for homes in Westlake Village and surrounding hillside communities. Our services include ember-resistant vent installation, enclosed eave hardening,  roofline sealing, gutter protection systems, fascia and soffit reinforcement, and roofline debris mitigation.
All upgrades are aligned with California WUI construction requirements and informed by IBHS technical guidance.

Accepted Answer

No. IBHS certification and designation are issued solely by IBHS. Implementation of assessment recommendations may improve wildfire resilience; however, not all properties will qualify for certification. Eligibility is determined exclusively by IBHS and depends on property-specific factors such as lot configuration, topography, ..., and compliance with applicable program requirements.
West Coast Construction & Development (WCCD) is not affiliated with, certified by, or authorized to grant IBHS designations.

We begin with a structured on-site vulnerability assessment. This evaluation identifies structural risks, documents conditions, and establishes a prioritized upgrade path. Construction work is not performed during the assessment phase. If you choose to proceed, we provide a separate written estimate based on documented findings.

Accepted Answer

Our Wildfire Risk Assessment is a non-invasive evaluation focused on structural ignition pathways and aligned with the principles of the IBHS Wildfire Prepared Home™ framework.
We assess vents, eaves, roofline transitions, exterior wall materials, windows, doors, gutters, and structural conditions within approximately five (5) feet of the building envelope.
The assessment is based on visual observation of reasonably accessible areas and is designed to translate directly into a clear, actionable hardening plan consistent with wildfire-resilient construction best practices.
Vegetation management and broader defensible-space evaluation are not included in this service.
