2

3

IMPLEMENTATION

Your selected upgrades are completed with disciplined, code-aligned workmanship—translating assessment findings into durable wildfire resilience through a smooth, predictable process.

2

4

IBHS CERTIFICATION SUBMISSION

Once upgrades are done, you will apply to IBHS for certification: 1) Submit the photos and documentations directly to IBHS 2) Pay the  application fee 3) IBHS reviews your submission and notifies you of your status All services include clear documentation with before-and-after photos and a defined scope of work.

Technical Assessment & Implementation: IBHS Wildfire Prepared Home™

Data-Driven Vulnerability Audits and Precision Home Hardening for Los Angeles County High Fire Hazard Severity Zones (HFHSZ)

Official 2026 IBHS Wildfire Prepared Home™ Partner logo for WCCD, specializing in wildfire-resilient reconstruction and insurance premium credit eligibility in California.

In the 2026 insurance landscape, structural resilience is a mandatory, data-driven requirement for homeowners in High Fire Hazard Severity Zones (HFHSZ). West Coast Construction & Development (WCCD) executes a high-precision, three-phase technical workflow to align your home with IBHS Wildfire Prepared Home™ standards:

  • Phase 1: Assessment – A technical audit to identify structural vulnerabilities.

  • Phase 2: Upgrades – Physical hardening and inorganic Zone 0 implementation.

  • Phase 3: Certification – Technical documentation to support your official designation.

Our process is engineered to bridge the gap between physical construction and the evidentiary standards required to unlock mandated California FAIR Plan premium credits.

 Assessment

Phase 1: The Assessment

Audit for HFHSZ Compliance & Insurance Eligibility

WCCD executes a construction-based assessment focused on the technical requirements of California Building Code Chapter 7A and the IBHS Wildfire Prepared Home™ standards. We audit your building envelope to identify the exact retrofits—including ASTM E2886 venting and Zone 0 remediation—required to prepare your property for official IBHS certification. This diagnostic creates the itemized technical roadmap necessary to secure mandated California FAIR Plan premium credits and ensures all upgrades are primed for final third-party verification.

Phase 3:  Documentation & Certification Support

Facilitating Your Path to Official IBHS Designation & Insurance Credits

Once upgrades are completed, WCCD provides a comprehensive IBHS-compliant Documentation Package, including geocoded before-and-after photography and a verified scope of work. As the property owner, you submit this package along with the application fee to IBHS. Our specialized documentation supports your submission to meet the evidentiary standards required for the Wildfire Prepared Home™ designation and the subsequent California FAIR Plan premium credits.

IBHS certification and designation are issued solely by the Insurance Institute for Business & Home Safety (IBHS). Implementation of assessment recommendations may improve wildfire resilience; however, certification is not guaranteed. Eligibility is determined exclusively by IBHS and depends on property-specific conditions, including lot configuration, topography, structural characteristics, and compliance with applicable IBHS program requirements. WCCD does not issue or approve IBHS certifications.

OUR PROCESS

How the Process Works.

1

IBHS-ALIGNED ASSESSMENT

A customized assessment is the foundation of structural resilience. We reject "one-size-fits-all" templates, instead auditing your building envelope and site-specific exposure against IBHS Wildfire Prepared Home™ standards. This diagnostic creates the data-driven roadmap required for property alignment.

2

ACTIONABLE SCOPE & ESTIMATE

We convert audit findings directly into an actionable construction plan. By utilizing the same technical team for both the assessment and the estimate, we eliminate "scope-gap" and ensure every proposed retrofit—from ASTM E2886 vents to AB-3074 perimeter hardening—is engineered for compliance and insurance eligibility.

3

IMPLEMENTATION

WCCD executes the physical structural upgrades and precision hardening measures required to align your home with IBHS Wildfire Prepared Home™ standards. Our focus remains strictly on the ground-to-structure interface: we remove organic fuel hazards and install inorganic, non-combustible barriers specifically engineered to prevent ember-to-structure ignition. This professional implementation also provides the verified construction proof needed to support your application for mandated California FAIR Plan premium credits.

4

IBHS CERTIFICATION SUBMISSION

Once construction is finalized, we provide a comprehensive IBHS-compliant Documentation Package, including geocoded before-and-after photography and a verified scope of work. You submit this evidence and the application fee directly to the IBHS portal to secure your official designation. IBHS reviews your submission and notifies you of your status.

50% of Assessment fee is credited toward upgrades when completed by WCCD.
